The outcome of the elections in US demonstrates that the north americans are really worried about the current administration. If this will be positive, only time will say, but I do hope that actions as signing the Kyoto Protocol and changes on international ground will finally happen.

In Brazil, the re-elected administration (President Lula) demonstrates how brazilians feel positive about sustainable development and that this should work for all, not only for rich class.

The update image on the side shows Av. 23 de Maio, near Congonhas Airport. In São Paulo, the second most important Bienal of Arts is happening at Ibirapuera Park.

Well there´s a lot happening in São Paulo these days, so here comes a compilation of events:

One of the coolest puppets festivals has started at the SESI theater. It´s called SESI Bonecos do Mundo (Website). International and national groups presenting their work for free.

Do you know any brazilian Rock n´Roll band? Well Chimpanzé Club Trio you should. Take a look on their website and check out some songs.

Have you ever used the tube in São Paulo? By experience I can tell.. its very clean compared to London or NY. There´s a lot of cultural events happening there as well. Take a look at the exhibition My Brazil is written with S with the best on Graphic Design at the Vila Madalena tube station.

It´s ellections time! As in everywhere promisses and promisses from politicians, excuses from past governments, accusations of corruptions.. It´s sad to see the same faces in brazilian politics again..

By the way I´ll try to post more in English, cz in Portuguese it´s almost daily. 8)

People usually complain a lot, but do they do a lot to help? Well, a number of organizations have online petitions where you can send your protest directly to policy makers all over the world. You can start searching on the web, but I would recomend two non-profit organizations to start: Tourism Concern and Amnesty International.

I took the picture on the side (the boy) in Espraiada Avenue in São Paulo. As you can see on the background, the gardens of the luxury flats are certainlly a lot different from this one. This street is also known for its ilegal drugs selling points.

Every day there´s something different happening in São Paulo. Let me give u three tips on spending a lazy afternoon in this july. Walking along Paulista avenue, you should check the Soccer exhibition at the HQ of Real Bank. It has loads of objects, videos and photos on this true national sport . Continuing along Paulista Avenue, you can check the work of polish artist Babinski at the Caixa Econômica Federal and, later on, go to the movies on the 1. Festival of Latino Cinema of São Paulo (website)... all 4 free.

I had the pleasure to watch the preview of the new documentary of Walter Carvalho (Photography Director of Lavoura Arcaica). It was an event organized at the Theater School Brincante in São Paulo. Later there was a spoken word show with the director.
